Device Compatibility
Apple’s first eSIM-compatible iPhones were the iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR, released in 2018. If you have a model released after 2018, your iPhone is most likely eSIM compatible. In unique cases, this does not apply (e.g., iPhones in China).
Even if your iPhone is compatible with eSIM, you will not be able to install a Roamify eSIM if your iPhone is locked. To confirm that your iPhone is both compatible with eSIM and unlocked, follow the steps below:
1. Open the Settings app, then TAP General, then TAP About
2. Scroll down to the Carrier Lock section
3. If your device is unlocked, it will show “No SIM restrictions.”
4. Scroll down to Available SIM/Digital SIM, if your iPhone supports eSIM, you will see a 15-digit IMEI number
