Self Serve Guide
If your Roamify eSIM is installed but not connecting to the local network, follow these steps. Work through them in order — most connection issues are resolved by step two or three.
Important: Do not delete your eSIM during troubleshooting. Once deleted, an eSIM becomes invalid and cannot be reinstalled.
Before diving into the steps, here are the most frequent causes of connection issues on Android:
This is the most common fix. Android devices ship with roaming disabled, and without it your eSIM cannot connect to a local network abroad.
Automatic network selection sometimes picks an incompatible carrier. Selecting the network manually forces your device onto a supported one.
Having multiple active SIMs can cause your device to route data through the wrong line, especially if your home SIM is still active.
If the above steps haven’t resolved the issue, your APN (Access Point Name) may need to be set manually.
For full APN setup instructions, see APN configuration for Roamify eSIMs.
This forces your device to re-register on the local network and clears any temporary connection state.
If none of the above steps resolve your issue, contact Roamify support via live chat on the website or through the in-app chat on the iOS or Android app. Please have your order number and device model ready.

Why does my Android show a signal but no internet?
This usually means data roaming is off, or the wrong SIM is set as the data line. Start with Step 1 (enable roaming) and Step 3 (disable other SIMs).
Can I delete and reinstall my Roamify eSIM to fix it?
No — do not delete your eSIM. Once an eSIM is deleted from your device, it becomes permanently invalid. Contact Roamify support if you need account-level assistance.
My APN field is greyed out — what do I do?
Some Android devices lock the APN field when a carrier profile is active. Try restarting your device, or contact Roamify support for guidance specific to your device model.
Does this guide apply to Samsung devices?
Samsung devices have a slightly different Settings menu. See the dedicated Samsung troubleshooting guide for step-by-step instructions.
