Using and Installing an eSIM
There are two primary methods for installing a Roamify eSIM on Apple (IOS) devices:
We recommend utilizing the QR Code Method, offering a more direct and efficient installation process.
***Please ensure you have a stable Wi-Fi connection during the process!***
1. Go to Settings
2. Go to Cellular
3. Tap on 'Add eSIM'
4. Select 'Use QR Code'
5. Scan the QR Code you received from Roamify.
6. Tap 'Continue' and wait (it can take a couple of minutes; please be patient)
7. The installation is complete, tap 'Done'
8. Select your new Roamify eSIM and rename it. Then tap Continue.
9. Select 'Primary as your default line' if your plan does not have calling and SMS.
10. Select 'Primary as your line for iMessage & FaceTime' and tap Continue.
11. Select 'Roamify as your line for Cellular Data' and tap Continue.
12. You now have the eSIM installed on your phone!
****IOS 17 New Features****
Open Photos instead of scanning QR Code
1. Go to Settings
2. Go to Cellular
3. Tap on 'Add eSIM'
4. Select 'Use QR Code'
5. Tap 'Enter Details Manually'
6. Type in the 'SM-DP+Address' and 'Activation Code' fields with the information you received from Roamify.
7. Tap 'Continue' and wait (it can take a few minutes; please be patient)
8. The installation is complete, tap 'Done'
9. Select your new Roamify eSIM and rename it. Then tap Continue.
10. Select 'Primary as your default line' if your plan does not have calling and SMS.
11. Select 'Primary as your line for iMessage & FaceTime' and tap Continue.
12. Select 'Roamify as your line for Cellular Data' and tap Continue.
13. You now have the eSIM installed on your phone!
***Only do this at your destination!!!***
1. Go to Settings
2. Go to Cellular
3. Select your Roamify eSIM.
4. Turn on 'Data Roaming' and 'Turn on this line'.
5. Ensure you turn off all other lines and only keep this line active! (We encourage you also to turn off your SIM from your home to avoid roaming charges!)
